Applied Kinesiology Orthopedics & Biomechanics Seminars
This course covers the spine, upper extremity and lower extremity. Dr. Leaf brings experience treating athletes for over 35 years including power-lifters, MLB, NHL, NFL world soccer and Olympic champions. In class, Dr. Leaf reviews appropriate muscle testing, orthopedic tests and examination for most conditions encountered. In total over 150 different orthopedic conditions will be covered, including the biomechanics of movements for common actions of the joints involved. For example, we will cover the muscle firing sequence for actions like lifting in the spine, sports activities like tennis and golf, and how we jump. For all conditions, we will discuss appropriate treatment protocols. This includes suggestions on proper use of applied kinesiology procedures and activities the patient can do to speed progress. All preregistered attendees will receive over 400 pages of notes and a CD related to these topics. Session One will begin with a review of the basic procedures used in orthopedic conditions.
